Position Overview: The Escanaba Area Public School District seeks a qualified candidate for the Data, Engagement, and Success Specialist position at the Escanaba Student Success Center.

Qualifications- Experience in a secretarial or administrative assistant role preferred.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience working with high school age students and families preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with at-risk and vulnerable students requiring high levels of support and encouragement.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong professional communication skills.
- Remain calm under stress levels associated with job demands, including constant contact with students, colleagues, and the public.
- Handle sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Good safety awareness and judgment.
- Support the ESSC Director and other center staff in the effective operation of an academic program serving at-risk students.
- Assist at-risk students in staying on track academically and progressing toward graduation through active communication with students, families, and other center staff.
- Maintain accurate student records using multiple systems, including responsibility for scheduling, attendance, grades, and other academic data.
- Compile and maintain accurate records for twice yearly student count days.
- Create reports to support the continuous improvement of an alternative program.
- Assist with problem solving and de-escalation when necessary.
- May serve as a primary point of contact for the ESSC, handling phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries on an as needed basis.
- May assist with two-way communication with students and families on an as needed basis.
