Specialty Infusion Center, an Access Infusion Care managed company, is looking for a Casual/PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse to support patients in Escanaba, Michigan, and surrounding communities
.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working independently, building meaningful relationships with patients, and providing high-quality infusion therapy in the comfort of a patient’s home.
As we continue to expand our home infusion services in the area, this position offers the opportunity to grow with us as new patient referrals are received.
ScheduleThis is a casual/PRN position with no guaranteed minimum number of hours
.
Patient visits will be scheduled based on referrals and patient care needs in Escanaba and the surrounding area. Hours may vary from week to week, making this an ideal opportunity for an RN looking to supplement an existing schedule or seeking flexible nursing hours.
As our patient population grows, there may be opportunities to take on additional patients and hours.
What You’ll Do- Provide infusion therapy and skilled nursing care in patients’ homes.
- Administer IV, subcutaneous, and other prescribed infusion therapies.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after treatment.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately using sound clinical judgment.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, side effects, treatment plans, and catheter care.
- Access and maintain central venous devices, including PICC lines and implanted ports.
- Operate and troubleshoot infusion pumps and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company, state, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other members of the patient’s care team.
- Follow all infection prevention, safety, and quality standards.
- Travel to patient homes throughout the assigned service area as needed.
- Active, unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
- Infusion therapy, home infusion, home health, oncology, or critical care experience strongly preferred.
- Strong IV insertion and vascular access skills.
- Experience with PICC lines, implanted ports, and central venous access devices preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a home-based setting.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Escanaba and surrounding communities.
- You enjoy providing personalized, one-on-one patient care.
- You are comfortable working independently while staying connected to a supportive clinical team.
- You are organized, dependable, and adaptable to changing patient needs.
- You value flexibility and are comfortable with a schedule that may vary based on patient referrals.
