Senior Accountant

Description

A growing real estate investment and property management organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, and multi-entity accounting operations. This position will work closely with leadership and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial information across a diverse portfolio of assets. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys analyzing financial data, improving processes, and taking ownership of key accounting functions.

Primary Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & General Ledger

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

+ Manage month-end and year-end close activities

+ Maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple business entities

+ Analyze financial results and investigate variances

+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

Compliance & Audit Support

+ Support annual audits and tax preparation processes

+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

+ Assist with internal controls and process improvement initiatives

+ Prepare supporting schedules and financial reporting packages

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

+ 4+ years of progressive accounting experience

+ Real estate, property management, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred

+ Advanced Excel skills required

+

Experience with Yardi, MRI, Net Suite, or Sage Intacct preferred

+ CPA or CPA-track candidates encouraged to apply
