Primary Purpose

Synthesizes multisource information into reliable tax packages and implements process controls that reduce errors and rework for recurring deliverables. Team provides support with numerous tax compliance tasks related to state and local indirect taxes, including state income taxes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze audit requests and prepare responses for state and local indirect tax audits
  • Prepare business license renewals and sales & use tax returns
  • Prepare property tax renditions and state income tax returns
  • Standardizes templates, naming conventions, and retention practices across recurring deliverables to reduce rework.
  • Performs quality checks on compiled provision and return packages and confirms control evidence is complete and traceable.
  • Coordinates auditor and regulator requests, aligning owners, due dates, and evidence to ensure consistent responses.
  • Compiles unitlevel tax data that supports regulatory reports and rate or proceeding submissions for utility and energy operations.
  • Develops quickreference guides and process documentation that clarify submission steps and review expectations.
  • Analyzes support workflows and recommends targeted changes that improve timeliness and accuracy.
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing sessions and crossreviews to strengthen team consistency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
