General Clerical Substitute Pool

This is a continuous posting to establish a General Clerical Substitute List for clerical needs throughout the District. Candidates must pass a basic computer skills assessment test using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

• Minimum two years of general clerical experience involving data entry and frequent public contact. Preference will be given to those who meet this requirement.
• Must subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance, submit to a general tuberculosis examination, be fingerprinted, complete a pre-placement physical examination, and produce proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• Must pass all examination parts pertaining to the classification and achieve placement on the eligibility list.
• Clear results from drug testing, per District's drug‑free workplace policy.

• Health, dental, life, vision, and emergency coverage for full‑time employees.
• Paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, shift differential, and longevity pay per District policy.
• Eligibility for California Public Employees Retirement System and Federal Social Security for employees working four hours or more.

All substitute employees are at‑will and receive pay for services rendered only.
