Description

At Redwood Terrace:

The Spiritual Care Director is responsible for providing nondenominational and holistic spiritual care to residents and family members across varied spiritual beliefs. They will continually assess the concerns and spiritual needs of community and create an atmosphere of inclusion and openness to a range of traditions. Spiritual Care directors will ensure residents and family members have social, emotional and spiritual support to inspire residents to live their best life possible.

Spiritual Care Directors will work in concert with the Director of Spirituality to create an inclusive spiritual care program.

Schedule:

  • Part-time
  • Available shifts: AM Shifts 8:30 am- 4:30 pm Current program is:
    Monday and Tuesday with candidate open availability needed

Compensation:

  • Pay range for is $29.52/hr.

    - $36.17/hr.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

  • Five years directly related experience, knowledge of senior care or medical center facilities
  • Ordination or commissioning by one’s faith group to serve as a religious leader and endorsement; or official recognition by that faith group to function as a Chaplain
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Divinity, Religious Studies; or certified equivalent

Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Neshama: the Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), and / or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC)
