Project Manager – Design-Build Golf Course Construction

Escondido, CA (Project-based travel required)

Mar Con Engineering Inc. is seeking a fully experienced and qualified Project Manager to lead a Design-Build golf course construction project. This role is responsible for the overall budget, schedule, performance, and delivery of the project and serves as the primary point of coordination between the Owner, designers, consultants, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Overall responsibility for project budget, schedule, quality, and performance
• Manage permits, RFIs, submittals, and contract documentation
• Develop and maintain the master project schedule
• Coordinate with course designer, shaper, superintendent, and assistant PM
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and environmental compliance
• Lead project meetings and act as primary liaison with ownership
• Manage cost controls, change orders, and billing
• Ensure compliance with USGA/PGA and applicable government standards

• Served as Project Manager on at least five (5) comparable 18-hole golf course projects
• Experience with Design-Build delivery
• Direct coordination with designers, shapers, and superintendents
• USGA and/or PGA experience strongly preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 5–10 years of golf course construction management experience
• Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, Sage Timberline, Sure Trak, MS Office
• Strong contract, schedule, and cost control skills

• Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 DOE

• Full-time, salaried (FLSA Exempt)
• Minimum 40 hours/week, additional hours as required
