Project Manager - Heavy Civil Infrastructure

Location: SOCAL - North San Diego County

The Opportunity

A respected Heavy Civil Contractor in Southern California is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex public and private infrastructure projects.

This role offers the chance to manage high-profile projects, providing a stable career, significant compensation, and clear pathways for professional advancement.

This is a critical, executive-level leadership position designed for an individual who can take full ownership of all complex civil scopes, ensuring safety, quality, budget integrity, and timely delivery from project award through final completion.

Core Expertise Required

We are actively seeking a Project Manager with a proven, successful history in the following core disciplines, which are essential to the demands of the California market:

• Heavy Civil Infrastructure: Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects including mass excavation, grading, utilities (water/sewer/drainage), and paving.
• Transportation Projects: Experience with major roadway construction and rehabilitation;
  Caltrans experience is a plus.
• Complex Foundation/Site Work: Experience overseeing structural components, shoring, deep trenching, and ground stabilization efforts.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of successfully managing large-scale and complex civil projects and demonstrate:

• 5+ years of progressive project management experience within the heavy civil construction industry, preferably with projects in Southern California.
• Proven ability to manage large, multi-discipline heavy civil contracts and lead project teams effectively.
• Mastery of project controls, including financial forecasting, procurement, risk mitigation, and scheduling.
• A strong, hands-on leader capable of mentoring field staff and maintaining transparent communication with clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies (e.g., Caltrans, regional municipalities).
