• Promote Safety: In accordance with MSHA and Superior Ready Mix standards, take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times.
• Perform General Physical
  
  Activities:
  
  Perform a variety of tasks assisting with the operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
• Batching Operations: Assist in the automated or manual batching of concrete into ready-mix trucks, ensuring the correct mixture and volume for each ticket.
• Repair and Maintain Equipment: Assist co-workers in servicing, repairing, and adjusting various pieces of equipment throughout the plant.
• Inspect Equipment and Structures: Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations that maximize production and minimize interruptions.
• Operate Vehicles and Equipment: Operate heavy construction equipment or similar types of cleanup loaders to assist with the plant's operation.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning all areas on vehicles and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Skills You’ll Need

• Experience: Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices: Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
• Mechanical
  
  Skills:
  
  Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Environmental Resilience: Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Ready to Drive: Must have a valid driver’s license.
