We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Escondido, CA.
2nd Shift Position – Sunday‑Thursday – 3pm‑11pm
Earn $38/Hour – $40/Hour – Depending on experience.
The LVN provides direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and ensures implementation of physician orders, coordination of medical appointments, and continuity of care for individuals with complex medical needs. This is a structured, team‑based environment where nurses are supported and empowered to deliver high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Implement program policy and procedure according to program regulations and guidelines.
- Provide overall medical support to individuals who receive services, including scheduling medical appointments and follow‑up as needed.
- Work closely with Program Director and Administrator to ensure health and safety of individuals receiving services.
- Provide on‑site medical support to individuals.
- Represent Merakey at all external meetings, conferences, etc., as assigned.
- Be knowledgeable and adhere to program regulations, assisting in preparation for annual licensure as applicable.
- Maintain frequent contact with family members, as deemed appropriate.
- Maintain frequent contact with external stakeholders as needed.
- May perform other related duties when assigned or required.
- LVN/LPN Active CA license in good standing.
- Valid driver's license.
- 1 year experience in long‑term care, developmental services, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
The position is responsible for overall medical needs of assigned individuals in our Intellectual Developmental Disability residential programs.
