Essential Functions
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
- Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
- Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
- Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments.
Additional Information- Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas.
- Assists in the orientation of new employees.
- Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations.
- Participates in performance/process improvement activities.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. - Experience: Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- License: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred.
- Hourly range: $42.00 - $58.81 per hour
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs; critical thinking; work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment. Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
