Overview

ESCONDIDO AUTO PARK EXPRESS WASH — Carwash Cashier/Attendant. The primary duties include assisting customers with their purchases from the Carwash, Mini-Mart and Gas Station, providing a positive and friendly experience, and properly maneuvering customer vehicles through the car wash to meet company specifications, standards, and time allowances.

Employees in this position will be paid a base hourly rate of applicable minimum wage ($16.90/Hr
).

Carwash Cashier responsibilities:

• Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers’ purchases.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions.
• Bags customer purchases if needed, and processes return transactions.
• Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; and operating a cash register.
• Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
• Redeems coupons for discounts on purchases.
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or card payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number; and operating credit card authorization systems.
• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
• Provides pricing information by answering questions.
• Ensures stock is sufficient and creates a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Carwash Attendant responsibilities:

• Monitors functionality of car wash machinery and equipment.
• Properly maneuvers customer vehicles through the car wash according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery.
• Restoring using appropriate materials.
• Applies special-purpose cleaner to remove foreign materials.
• Operates all tools in a safe manner by using proper eye, hand, and body protection.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
