Field Service Technician

The Audiovisual Field Service Technician's primary role is the repair and maintenance of integrated audiovisual systems and managing customer relationships.

Job Duties

• Interact directly with end-users to gather information necessary to resolve system issues effectively and efficiently.
• Utilize knowledge of equipment and documentation to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain installed audiovisual systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain installed audiovisual systems according to company best practices and industry standards.
• Complete service tickets documenting all findings, actions, and results.
• Provide preventative maintenance services for various project types and locations.
• Modify existing control and DSP programs as necessary.
• Assist with installations when time permits, including equipment rough-in, cable pulling, speaker rigging, projector and screen setup, rack setup, testing, cable termination, and aligning speaker systems and video projectors.

Job Requirements

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
• Capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Interest in learning new skills and technologies.
• Experience with high-end video production systems, audio systems, control systems, and production lighting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to interpret detailed one-line diagrams for installation, tuning, and troubleshooting of AV systems.
• Physical ability to climb, maneuver in confined spaces, lift 50 lbs., and carry a twelve-foot ladder.
• Proficiency with Internet, Web technologies, Microsoft Office, and related software.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards.
• Comfortable connecting and configuring AV control and signal processors.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver's license.
• AVIXA CTS certification required; CTS-I preferred or in progress.
