Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for 2 Youth Behavioral Health Specialist's at San Pasqual Academy STRTP in Escondido, CA
.

San Pasqual Academy is located on a beautiful 238 acres in rural San Pasqual Valley. SPA is equipped with all the amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. On grounds sports and activities include basketball, softball, and football. Our unique campus features residential staff and house parents serving as surrogate parents who mentor and tutor students, teach age-appropriate independent living skills, create opportunities to explore new interests, encourage participation in sports and recreation, assist in the exploration of career and job opportunities, and promote family living skills.

Pay: $27.00 per hour; $1000.00 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Clinical position paid out at 3 and 6 Months!

Perks & Benefits: You will be eligible for Medical insurance on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. You will be eligible for the rest of the Rite of Passage Benefits Package immediately after 90 days of full-time employment. , and 403b match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more!

What you will do: Provide mental health rehabilitation, case management, and ongoing support to youth in our STRTP program. You’ll work directly with youth to support individual treatment goals, facilitate therapeutic and skill-building groups, participate in Child and Family Team meetings, and connect youth with appropriate services and community resources. You’ll also maintain client documentation and collaborate with families, social workers, probation officers, schools, and mental health providers to support each youth’s progress, stability, and successful transition back into the community.

To be considered you must:

  • Be empathetic, patient, and respectful, with a genuine desire to work with troubled teens.



Minimum Qualifications
- Please review before applying

  • Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
  • Have a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Required to have applicable degree and experience working with youth in a related setting (e.g. mental health, treatment services, residential, schools, after-school programs, coaching sports, etc.):
    • Associates level degree plus six years of related experience
    • Bachelors level degree plus four years related experience
    • Masters level degree plus two years of related experience

Information regarding Schedule/hours/shifts:

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 11am-7pm OR Sunday
- Thursday 11am-7pm

Education Required

Associates or better in Psychology or related field.

Experience

Behavioral Health with Associates Degree
