Salary: $52,000 – $77,450 per year (per approved salary schedule)

• Providing behavior management services
• Producing educational material
• Planning school events
• Encouraging and supporting students

• Demonstrates reliability as evidenced by attendance records and punctuality
• Properly notifies supervisor and/or designee of absences or tardiness
• Begins and completes work within the allotted time
• Consistently appears in attire appropriate to the work environment
• Demonstrates skills when using equipment, including its capabilities, limitations, and appropriate/special application
• Protects the District’s resources through appropriate and careful use of supplies and equipment
• Utilizes appropriate body mechanics to aid in the prevention of muscle strain/injury

• Must have a valid NMPED K‑12 or 7‑12 Teaching license
• Basic knowledge of all core subjects; multiple endorsements preferred
• General knowledge or training in Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to maintain appropriate program service records
• BA in education
• Strong reading, writing, oral presentation, and organizational skills
• Maintain class discipline while promoting mutual respect and positive relationships with students
• Display a dynamic, enthusiastic, upbeat attitude toward teaching

Regularly required to walk, talk, and listen. Frequently it is required to stand and sit. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Light lifting at times.

Upon an offer of employment, pass a pre‑employment drug test and comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1968, pass a background check, and provide necessary documentation qualifications.
