As a full time Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Finance and Administration. This position focuses on supervising Finance Assistants and ensuring accurate financial functions including payroll, account management, and audit support. Your experience in municipal operations will ensure compliance and effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise payroll processes to maintain accuracy
- Review and process purchase orders effectively
- Manage cash flow reviews and address discrepancies
- Train new finance assistants and support staff development
- Collaborate in the annual budget preparation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience; 1 year in management
- Supervisory experience in municipal finance preferred
- Exceptional writing and analytical abilities
- Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ driver’s licence
