Position: Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse - $2,008 per week

Job Details:

• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift

• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs

• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team

• Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care

• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols

• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout the episode of care

• Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel

• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards

• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment

• At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required

• Two years current experience required in specialty

• EPIC experience preferred; can train on-site

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required

• BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required

• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
