Position: Critical Care Registered Nurse - Espanola, New Mexico
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in ICU care to support a well-respected acute care facility in the Northern New Mexico region.

This role offers the chance to deliver critical care nursing at a 47-bed hospital known for its commitment to quality patient outcomes and community health.

Location Overview:
Situated in Espanola, NM, the facility serves as a major healthcare provider in the area, supported by a dedicated team of approximately 300 healthcare professionals. This environment provides a well-equipped setting for nursing professionals who want to impact patient care significantly.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit following established protocols
  • Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to critical situations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
Qualifications & Desired

Experience:
  • Valid RN license with critical care training or specialty certification preferred
  • Required certifications must be submitted at application; no on-site certification available
  • Compliance with New Mexico state regulations, including fingerprinting and background checks as outlined by the state Department of Health
  • Ability to travel or relocate 60 miles or more, as candidates must be considered travel nurses
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Schedule & Type:
  • Contract position with orientation held weekly on Mondays
  • Candidates must meet travel nurse qualifications
Additional Information:
  • All clinical staff must undergo a fingerprint background check; a 14-day waiver with supervision is possible pending results
  • Compliance with state health department requirements is mandatory
