Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  • Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
  • Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.
Qualifications
  • Licensure:
    State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
  • Academic Preparation:
    Degree from accredited nursing program (conditional programs may be accepted with approval by system CNO).
  • Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire.
  • Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred.
  • Maintain current training in BLS (required for all) and additional certifications based on area of service (CDS Outpatient, Oncology Chemotherapy, ACLS, PALS).
  • Minimum experience:

    New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
