Travel RN OR – Operating Room
Location:
Espanola, New Mexico.
Start date:
06/22/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week.
Shift: 8 hours, days.

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13‑week travel assignment. The OR RN provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepares the operating room, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready.
- Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
- Anticipates the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments and supplies promptly.
- Monitors patient condition during surgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeon.
- Manages specimen collection, labeling, and transport.
- Documents all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Participates in patient handoff communication during pre‑ and post‑operative phases.
- Assists in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases.
- Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies.
- Follows safety rules, including proper use of PPE and infection prevention measures.
- Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- ACLS, PALS, or ENPC certifications.
- OR Nursing Certification (CNOR).
- Additional certifications or licenses may be required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
- English reading, writing, and communication proficiency.
- Ability to read instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
- Physical strength to move equipment 50‑100 lbs, bend, push, pull.
- Professional attitude and teamwork skills with diverse personnel.
- Fine motor skills for assisting with procedures and equipment.
- Ability to cope with frequent public contact, work under tight deadlines, and maintain concentration.
- Visual acuity and effective communication.
