Position Summary
Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and optimal in‑stock and inventory levels. Perform budgeting, forecasting, and assess economic trends and community needs. Provide direction and guidance on customer/service techniques, ensuring complaints and issues are resolved within company guidelines. Implement community outreach, enforce compliance with company and legal policies, and monitor asset protection and safety controls.
Develop action plans to improve performance, maintain confidentiality, and provide supervision, training, and development opportunities for associate teams.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation and accurate pricing.
- Maintain inventory, address back‑orders, and order supplies.
- Develop and implement budgets and forecasts.
- Provide customer service leadership and resolve member complaints.
- Plan and participate in community outreach programs.
- Interpret financial and performance reports and enforce policy compliance.
- Conduct safety and quality reviews and establish improvement plans.
- Hire, train, mentor, and recognize associates while fostering a culture of belonging.
- Provide member educational guidance on eyewear selection and minor frame repair.
- Execute company programs, support strategy, and promote continuous learning.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supervising associates and prior optical retail or associate management experience.
Compensation and Benefits- Hourly wage range: $27.00 – $37.00 (minimum wage compliance).
