Quantity Surveyor – Roofing

Established flat roofing contractor with strong presence across London and the South East.

This reputable company specialises in commercial flat roofing solutions, working extensively with Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors on diverse projects across the public, commercial, education and healthcare sectors.

This role is office-based with flexible home working, site visits and meetings as required.

Manage the commercial and financial aspects of flat roofing projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Prepare cost estimates, tenders and valuations, manage project budgets, assess and negotiate variations and claims, and compile cost value reconciliations.

Administer contracts under standard forms (JCT/NEC), liaise with Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors on all commercial matters, and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain throughout the project lifecycle.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry with proven ability managing valuations, variations, final accounts and project budgets.
• Strong working knowledge of standard contract forms (JCT, NEC) and proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard estimating or QS software.
• Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; roofing background not necessary but beneficial.
