The purpose of this class is to provide administrative support to the Financial Aid Office through the performance of numerous tasks associated with the delivery of financial aid.

High School diploma/GED and five years related financial aid experience working in an academic environment or associate's degree and three years related financial aid experience working in academic environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional Saturday work as needed, especially during peak enrollment periods. Hours Monday, Tuesday either 8:30 am - 4:30 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm:
Wednesday and Thursday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.  

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

* Respond to student inquiries relating to financial aid.

* Investigate and resolve student concerns regarding financial aid.

* Develop and manage appropriate databases.

* Maintain current knowledge of financial aid regulations and federal tax law.

Essential

Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned.

* Demonstrate detailed knowledge of financial aid as it relates to verification requirements, including but not limited to the federal income tax regulations and federal and state financial aid regulation.

* Responsible for review and awarding of Federal Work Study, process External requests, and assist with packaging of Title IV financial aid awards.

* Assist with off-campus outreach activities.

* Provide Tier II support to Student Central (Tier I) staff (Virtual and On-Campus) with training, assisting with escalated student issues as it relates to financial aid processes, awarding, disbursement, and packaging questions, etc.

* Review and assist with processing of high-level reports.
