Main Purpose of Job

This position provides custom web development and design for the MLDS website.

Duties include:
  • Provides all aspects of the development and ongoing maintenance of the MLDS website, including design of interfaces that allow users the ability to create customized data inquiries. Create designs and online forms to integrate with agency reporting tools. Supports staff who are developing dashboards and online tools to improve technical functionality.
  • Develops the mapping structure of database elements which will be used on Web Portal. Designs placement and layout design of website pages given priorities established by management. Performs website integration with Power BI, Oracle Web Center, JIRA, Web flow. Update Website to be compliant with Digital Accessibility.
  • Analyzes, designs and implement the Information Technology projects related to MLDS center. Provides technical expert advice and best techniques to guide new changes which will help achieve agency goals. Performs all security related audits for MLDSC Environment and implements the security monitoring system for MLDSC. Evaluates the efficiency of operations, and develops, revises, and recommends new policies, standards, and workflow procedures, using new technology where appropriate.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports to supervisor on various aspects of website usage on regular basis.
  • Installs and manages user access and controls agency applications. Serve as cloud software admin for products such as JIRA, Gov Delivery, Google etc.
  • Creates and maintains documentation on all aspects of the design and functioning of the website. Supports the development of source to target mapping documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
:
Seven years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining websites. Also experience in web application, communication, database or operating systems software.

  • Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology for four years of the required experience.

  • Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for four years of the required experience.

  • Candidates may substitute experience operating computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output to process data on computer systems; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer hardware and software; or converting data from project specifications by developing program code using generally accepted computer programming languages on a year-for-year basis for a high school education.

  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology…
