A fantastic opportunity has become available for a caring and enthusiastic Level 2/Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a warm, welcoming early years setting in Colchester. This is a part-time position with flexible hours across Monday to Friday, making it ideal for candidates who need a role that fits around other commitments. The role starts on a temporary basis, but if you’re looking for something long-term, the nursery is very happy to consider a permanent position for the right person.

About the Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

Creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5

Supporting and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS

Observing, recording and contributing to children’s learning and development

Building warm and positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development

Ensuring safeguarding, welfare and health & safety procedures are followed

Working as part of a supportive, friendly and collaborative team

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare

A genuine passion for supporting children’s development

Good communication skills and a team-focused approach

A positive, nurturing and proactive attitude

Flexibility to work part-time hours throughout the week
