Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
Global Foundries has a 2026 Internship Position available at the Essex, VT site for a Specialty Gas Engineering Intern
Essential
Responsibilities include:
- Learn Specialty and Bulk gas distribution systems across the site
- Develop and evaluate key system metrics and reporting. Utilize data for continuous improvement
- Perform project planning, technical analysis and evaluation of system options and alternatives.
- Perform engineering design activities for assigned systems; these will include capital upgrade evaluations and planning, and expense projects.
- Assist and learn maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas systems in conjunction with Technicians and Engineers
- Work with other Facilities departments, including the FAB manufacturing team, to troubleshoot and solve gas-related issues
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education – Actively pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering Degree or related field.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
Expected Salary Range
$20.00 - $40.00
