Job SummaryThe main purpose of this job is to be responsible for developing new loan relationships and maintaining a portfolio of existing loan relationships with high‑net worth individuals, families and business owners. Advises wealth management clients utilizing lending and banking solutions that are aligned with the client’s overall financial objectives and working within Fine Mark’s team approach. Lending solutions will include wealth management.
EssentialFunctions
- Ensure competitive loan pricing through analysis of the market and economic conditions.
- Ensure that loan requests are thoroughly analyzed and are properly prepared in accordance with the Bank’s lending policy.
- Analyze, prepare and present credit requests and utilize the client contact system.
- Negotiate credit terms, such as interest rates, fees, etc.
- Identify new loan requests and review new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of credit administration, compliance, CRA, and all phases of loan documentation and credit file maintenance.
- Strong analytical and credit underwriting skills.
- Ability to develop loan relationships.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements.
- Motivated and organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.
- Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 8+ years of experience as a lender for a financial institution required.
