The Town of Essex seeks 1–2 Highway Maintenance Class III Operator positions in Public Works. This is a temporary five‑month role, 40 hours weekly, from November 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027, with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities include general maintenance on town roadways and facilities and operation of heavy equipment. Hourly pay ranges from $36.00 to $42.00, starting salary based on experience; overtime applies in winter;
Sundays/holidays double time; call-out pay is 4 hours.
