Overview

The Florida Ever blades, a premier ECHL hockey team, and Hertz Arena, a leading multi‑purpose entertainment venue in Estero, Florida, are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Creative Content Intern to join our Creative team. This in‑person internship offers hands‑on experience in capturing, editing, and producing both video and photo content for a professional sports team and a dynamic entertainment venue. Ideal for current college students or graduates passionate about videography, photography, sports, and live events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture high‑quality video and photography for Florida Ever blades games, Hertz Arena events, concerts, and promotional campaigns.
  • Shoot action, lifestyle, and behind‑the‑scenes photography including game action, fan engagement, player features, and event atmosphere.
  • Edit video content for game recaps, highlight reels, player interviews, and promotional teasers for social media, websites, and in‑arena displays.
  • Edit and deliver photo assets for use across social media, digital marketing, web, print, and in‑arena platforms.
  • Assist in live event coverage, including capturing real‑time moments for both video and photo needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure visual content aligns with brand standards, campaign goals, and storytelling objectives.
  • Support setup, operation, and breakdown of video and photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio gear.
  • Organize, tag, and maintain video and photography assets within digital asset management systems.
  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions for upcoming games, events, and campaigns.
  • Occasionally assist with live streaming, broadcast production, or in‑arena content capture as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Film, Video Production, Photography, Media Arts, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro; After Effects a plus).
  • Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Experience with professional video and photography equipment, including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio.
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, storytelling, and visual aesthetics for both video and photography.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, especially during live events.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, or live event production is strongly preferred.
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing videography and/or photography work (required).
Requirements
  • Portfolios are required for consideration for this position! No application without a portfolio will be considered.
  • Availability to work 15–20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends for games and events.
  • Ability to commute to Hertz Arena in Estero, FL, for in‑person work.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adapt creative work based on feedback from supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Physical ability to carry, set up, and operate video and photography equipment as needed.
