Position Overview

Location: Coconut Point Orthopedics, Estero, Florida 33928

Department: Registration Services

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM;
Saturday rotation approximately once every 45 weeks.

Pay: $20.00 – $23.50 per hour

Summary

Customer Service Representative – Orthopedic Registration.

We are seeking friendly, professional, and customer‑focused individuals to join our Orthopedic Registration Team at the Coconut Point location. This role is a vital part of the patient experience, helping ensure patients receive exceptional service from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service in a team‑based environment for all aspects of patient business activity within the Practice/Department. Responsibilities include handling telephones, patient appointment scheduling, patient check‑in, insurance verification, authorization, pre‑certifications, referrals, and posting charges. Prepare well‑coded and accurate billing, initial collections, and maintenance of medical records. Depending on specific practice needs, may manage business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health, and corporate accounts.

Late hours, holidays, and weekends may be required. Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience:

    Less than 1 year clerical/administrative required; insurance/customer service preferred
  • Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) required (may be required at other locations within 90 days)
  • License: N/A
  • Other:
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, IT/computer proficiency, basic math, knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful
