As a Medical Assistant, you'll work alongside physicians and physician assistants to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care. You'll be an important part of the care team from the moment patients arrive through every step of their visit.
In this role, you will:
Create a welcoming and exceptional patient experience
Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing
Collect and process laboratory specimens
Assist with minor procedures
Assist with medication administration under the direction of a physician or physician assistant
Collect, communicate, and accurately document patient information
Maintain accurate medical records
Provide patients with instructions and support
Prepare and maintain safe, clean, and efficient patient care areas
Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure excellent patient care
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred
Experience
Medical Assistant experience preferred
Recent Medical Assisting graduates are encouraged to apply!
One year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office or hospital outpatient setting may be accepted in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program
Certifications
CMA, CCMA, or RMA preferred
BLS required within 90 days of hire
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills
Commitment to patient safety and exceptional customer service
Monday Friday schedule
