Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite in our orthopedic outpatient facility, which is known for its friendly and encouraging atmosphere. You will be part of a skilled and interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including fellow physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation technicians. Together, we prioritize patient-centered care and leverage evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible treatment experiences. Regular team meetings will allow for open communication and collaborative care planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, assessing their physical capabilities and functional limitations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Implement customized therapeutic interventions targeting specific orthopedic conditions, using techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities as appropriate.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and billing activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to support patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate and consult with other healthcare professionals within the facility to create a cohesive, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy practices, and integrate cutting-edge methodologies into patient care strategies.
  • Participate in staff development initiatives, helping to advance the skills and knowledge of the clinical team.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped therapy environment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and ready for patient use.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will work primarily with a diverse patient population consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will be instrumental in guiding patients through rehabilitation protocols that prioritize their unique goals and capabilities. Your compassionate approach will not only facilitate physical recovery but also foster psychological support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are preferred.
  • An active Physical Therapy license in Florida, or eligibility to obtain one, is essential.
  • Strong commitment to delivering patient-centered care and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems; familiarity with WebPT is considered a plus.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performing evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy and an eagerness to engage in professional development opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
