The Role

Suffolk is seeking professionals who are bold, curious, innovative, and caring. As a construction schedule specialist, you will plan vertical construction projects using Oracle Primavera P6, merge 3‑D BIM models with CPM schedules, apply lean methodologies, and use production analytics to improve process flows. You will provide technical and analytical input throughout the project cycle, helping teams re‑plan, sequence work, and keep projects on time.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with planning and developing construction schedules
  • Work with Project Executives to prepare proposal and preconstruction schedules
  • Use historical production data to develop activity durations and validate construction progress
  • Monitor and analyze progress on detailed construction schedules (2,500–5,000 activities)
  • Update, analyze, and report status weekly at each project site
  • Reconcile discrepancies between actual and planned progress and facilitate an action plan with the project team
  • Help develop visual schedules as needed
  • Provide linear schedules to view production sequences
  • Analyze repetitive workflows for realistic cycle times
  • Prepare concise monthly schedule narratives
  • Provide monthly metrics and key performance indicators for executive reports
  • Apply Suffolk’s Standards of Practice to ensure quality and excellence
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or an applicable discipline
  • Experience preparing CPM schedules for vertical construction projects
  • Proficient with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Capable of managing multiple project schedules in the region
  • Willingness to travel to regional project sites weekly
  • Willingness to obtain an AACE PSP certification within six months of hire
  • Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn new software applications
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills with concise recommendations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences
  • Positive customer‑service orientation, both internal and external
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with diverse teams

Working Conditions

Regular sitting for long periods in an office environment (quiet to moderate noise level). The role requires standing, walking, and reaching with arms/hands. Specific vision demands include close, distance, and depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Occasional job‑site walking may be required.
