OPERATIONS LEAD, CEMENT – ESTEVAN (EST)
Address equipment management, personnel issues, employee and environmental safety and welfare, in addition to scheduling crews.
Responsibilities- Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is the priority in all activities
- Work with Base Manager to interview and hire new employees, conduct disciplinary action, evaluations and reviews, training and competency requirements, as well as employee welfare concerns at the base
- Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
- Ensure job quality, safety requirements, and standard procedures coincide with Trican company standards, government legislation, and customer requirements
- Read incident reports and suggest and invite suggestions and feedback from employees regarding improving working conditions, employee safety, procedures, and operational practices
- Manage timesheets, expenses and HOS regulations from employees as required
- Work with Base Manager to oversee monthly, quarterly and yearly Base inventory levels
- Work with Shop Foreman, E-Techs and third-party contractors regarding equipment maintenance and repairs
- Visit customer job sites, perform crew evaluations, and work away from home as required
- Minimum ten years’ experience in Base Operations with field experience
- Valid Driver's licence
- High school diploma
- Extensive technical and practical knowledge of operations, products, company policies, and government regulations
- Strong strategic leadership and managerial skills
- Admirable interpersonal skills conveyed in a pleasant and professional manner when interacting with employees, management, and customers
- Sound analytical and interpretational skills
- Skilled in applying problem‑solving techniques to complications that may arise
- Skilled in supervision while exhibiting motivation, coaching, delegation, and training
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Ability to exhibit innovation, creativity, and self‑development
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing working conditions
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high attention to detail

- Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications
