As a working Shop Foreman
, you lead by example by working closely with the Service Manager, Service Writer and the Service Technicians to contribute to the customer experience. You assist in coordinating and directing the workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality work yourself. You mentor apprentices and other technicians while working as a Senior Technician and provide input on their skills and training needs.

• 3+ year's experience as a Service Technician in an Agriculture dealership
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Journeyperson
• Familiar with using Service Advisor and servicing John Deere agriculture equipment preferred
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office
• Agriculture Equipment Technician certificate a strong asset
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
• Fork lift license preferred

• Liaison between the Service Manager and the technicians to communicate assignment of jobs and work area providing feedback on performance as necessary
• Conducting regular meetings with shop staff and fill in for the Service Manager as required
• Direct contact with customers on status of repairs on behalf of technicians
• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment as time allows
• Completes set‑up and pre‑delivery inspections of all types of equipment offered for sale by the dealership.
• Assists in the appraisal and estimate of repairs, directs and assist technicians in the diagnosis of machines and participates in conducting the work as time and work allows
• Completes or reviews paperwork for accuracy and completeness and may inspect and approve the release of equipment
