Description
The Parts & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for purchasing heavy truck parts, shop supplies, tools, and related materials. This role manages inventory control, receiving, stocking, and distribution of parts while maintaining a clean and organized stock room.
This role follows a Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:30pm schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, which includes a 30‑minute unpaid break each day. The position is fully in‑office and requires the ability to travel to other terminals as needed to support operations.
Responsibilities
Purchase heavy truck parts, shop supplies, tools
Manage inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and distribution
Maintain an organized and clean stock room
Coordinate with vendors and support vendor relationship management
Complete daily/weekly reporting as required
Perform invoice reconciliation and general clerical tasks
Submit warranty claims and track recovery status
Support operational needs and assist with additional duties as assigned
Lift and move materials up to 70 lbs
Travel occasionally as required
Additional Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy of inventory counts and documentation
Monitor stock levels and proactively identify replenishment needs
Support fleet maintenance teams with timely parts availability
Maintain compliance with company purchasing and safety procedures
Assist with system updates and data entry in fleet maintenance software
Experience
3–5 years of experience in vehicle parts, fleet operations, or a similar environment
Previous experience with heavy truck parts strongly preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with computers, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work flexibly across locations
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
