1st Tenor Lead Centennial Choir

Overview

The Etobicoke Centennial Choir (ECC) is seeking a 1st Tenor Concert Lead to join the choir in mid-February for our March 28, 2026 concert and continue as 1st Tenor Section Lead as of Tuesday March 31, 2026.

• Is an auditioned community choir under the direction of Artistic Director Henry Renglich
• Rehearses on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 pm – 9:45 pm
• Has two upcoming concerts of a three-concert season on March 28, 2026 and June 6, 2026
• Features a diverse repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions and popular music
• Rehearses and performs in Etobicoke at Humber Valley United Church, 76 Anglesey Blvd in Etobicoke (TTC accessible)
• Also performs at Runnymede United Church, 432 Runnymede Road in Toronto

• Section Leads are required to have excellent sight-reading skills and be experienced with choral music
• Attend all scheduled Tuesday evening rehearsals
• Participate in all Saturday concerts as well as Dress Rehearsals on the Friday evenings preceding concerts
• Provide vocal artistic leadership at rehearsals and concerts, including leading choir warm-ups and supporting choristers in their assigned section in learning the music
• Perform solo and/or ensemble repertoire in ECC performances upon request

• Proven experience in choral settings with strong sight-reading abilities
• Experience leading section rehearsals and contributing to artistic decision-making
• Commitment to attending all rehearsals and performances as outlined in the responsibilities
