What we offer

The Director, Supply Chain will build, lead, and operate SAMI’s supply chain function across all business units, with a particular focus on logistics. This role defines and oversees multi-factory, full-cycle inventory management, fleet management, and logistics processes in alignment with the company’s business model and financial goals. As a strategic leader, the Director will drive value and innovation across inventory, fleet, and logistics — implementing best practices to accelerate the growth of our manufacturing business.

What you’ll do

  • Optimize our inbound and outbound logistics and warehousing network to meet multi-site production schedules.
  • Establish a cohesive logistics strategy for the supply chain function from the ground up, including structure, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures; establish clear goals, metrics, and action plans in alignment with organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end oversized-load transportation — securing municipal and jurisdictional permits, route planning, scheduling, and on-site/off-site logistics alignment from plants and storage locations to project sites.
  • Build and lead fleet management capabilities over time (e.g., vehicle/equipment utilization, maintenance planning, compliance, and operating cost controls).
  • In close collaboration with the Procurement team, lead the development of inbound and outbound delivery/shipping processes in ERP.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, operations, and reporting for all supply chain activities; oversee processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing supply chain team – setting clear performance expectations, coaching and mentoring direct and indirect reports, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the full 3PL vendor lifecycle and assess make vs. buy–this includes partner selection and onboarding, contract vetting and execution, ongoing relationship management, and p bringing logistics servcies in-house where if makes sense –with a focus on cost, risk mitigation, business continuity, and quality of deliverables.
  • Develop and administer detailed analytics to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify cost-savings and process-improvement opportunities by monitoring market trends and industry best practices, and leverage technology to drive automation, sustainability, and innovation across supply chain operations.

  • What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
