Health and Wellness Manager (RPN) - Future Talent Pool
Cogir Senior Living manages retirement residences across the country. We offer a range of senior living options including independent living, assisted living and memory care. For over 25 years, we have dedicated every day to the happiness of retirees.
Responsibilities   Collaborate with the Executive Director, regional clinical team, and departmental managers to maximize resident satisfaction.
Participate in care conferences, conduct resident assessments, and develop individualized service plans.
Ensure resident and employee safety and well‑being, adhering to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal acts and regulations.
Lead hiring, training, and development of clinical staff, ensuring a highly effective multidisciplinary team.
Maintain strong relationships with residents, family members, employees, managers, regional support teams and agencies to foster a supportive community.
Monitor department expenses and ensure proper billing of care and labour services.
Qualifications   Registered as a Registered Practical Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with the applicable provincial regulatory body.
Minimum of five (5) years relevant clinical experience and one (1) year of leadership experience, preferably in a retirement residence.
Experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a unionized environment.
Proven ability to mentor, train and develop nursing staff.
Experience recruiting and building a strong clinical team.
Good understanding of budgets and financial monitoring.
Current knowledge of relevant regulations and program standards.
Current Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Background Check within the last six months.
Strong clinical competence, critical thinking, people leadership, communication, empathy, attention to detail, time management, adaptability, teamwork, technical proficiency and ethical standards.
