In this permanent role within the Environmental Sciences and Standards Division, you will conduct laboratory testing and provide analytical support for aquatic toxicology. Expertise in aquatic biology, field sample collection, and data interpretation are key. Your contributions will protect Ontario's water ecosystems through rigorous environmental monitoring and testing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct laboratory tests in the Aquatic Toxicology Unit
• Manage data interpretation and reporting with quality assurance
• Collect samples through possible fieldwork
• Maintain healthy culture conditions for aquatic organisms
• Support environmental monitoring and emergency response efforts
Requirements:
• Valid class G driver's licence or equivalent
• Knowledge of aquatic biology and toxicity testing
• Experience with sample collection and analysis techniques
• Familiarity with WHMIS and related safety procedures
• Strong analytical and project management skills
