Village of Healing is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and self‑directed Finance & Accounting Manager to take ownership of the organization’s internal accounting structure and day‑to‑day financial management operations.

This is a hands‑on position for an experienced nonprofit finance professional who can quickly assess an existing financial environment, identify priorities, strengthen processes, and assume ownership of core accounting functions. The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is expected to independently manage the accounting function while partnering with program, grants, healthcare operations, payroll, billing/revenue‑cycle partners, and the organization’s external CPA/audit firm.

The Finance & Accounting Manager will be responsible for the integrity of the organization’s financial records; general ledger and accounting operations; timely month‑end close; financial statement preparation; multiple organizational, departmental, program, and grant budgets; grant and restricted‑fund accounting; healthcare revenue and receivable reconciliation; payroll and personnel‑cost allocations; cash‑flow reporting; audit readiness; internal controls; and scalable financial policies, procedures, and systems.

This role requires a finance professional who can enter an existing financial environment, assess the full accounting structure, establish priorities, resolve discrepancies, strengthen controls, create disciplined financial processes, and carry work through to completion without extensive day‑to‑day direction. The successful candidate must be comfortable overseeing several budgets and several grants simultaneously while producing reliable, decision‑ready financial information for the CEO.

Village of Healing receives revenue from a combination of grants, healthcare reimbursement, and philanthropic support. As the organization expands healthcare services and increases revenue from Medicaid, commercial insurance, and self‑pay reimbursement, the Finance & Accounting Manager will ensure the accounting structure, controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes support a diversified, compliant, and sustainable revenue model.

CPA licensure is not required. Village of Healing is seeking demonstrated nonprofit financial management expertise, strong accounting judgment, substantial grant and restricted‑fund accounting experience, and the proven ability to independently oversee and improve a complete internal accounting function.
