Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems Aerospace division is currently seeking a Engineering Test Lab Manager – Aerospace.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 – $165,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

This role requires working on‑site Monday to Friday at our Euclid, OH location. Relocation is not available for this role.
What You’ll DoThis individual will provide leadership and technical guidance to the engineering test lab function. The mandate includes technical and process excellence, personnel leadership, organizational development, and timely results. The position is part of the engineering leadership team within the Euclid, OH site and oversees activities related to the development of test equipment systems for military and commercial aerospace applications, operation and maintenance of the engineering mechanical, electrical and fuel laboratories, and execution of product testing and certification.
Job Responsibilities- Provides strategic leadership for the test engineering team, including setting performance objectives, conducting regular evaluations, and fostering professional growth through targeted training and development opportunities.
- Maintains a safe and compliant test laboratory environment by proactively addressing safety concerns for personnel, visitors, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensures all engineering lab equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
- Provides support to the production test team when requested to solve challenging production test issues.
- Champions a culture of safety and continuous improvement through a comprehensive 5S program, surpassing site expectations.
- Oversees and reports on lab metrics such as safety incidents, first pass yield, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Enforces adherence to established test protocols and drives ongoing process enhancements for quality and productivity.
- Manages the design and manufacture of test equipment in accordance with customer requirements and Eaton standards, supporting both government and commercial clients.
- Develops and manages a dynamic 5‑year budget plan covering capital equipment, materials, and staffing for both development and production test equipment needs.
- Leads the implementation of digital tools and data analytics to enhance test lab operations, improve traceability, and enable predictive maintenance.
- Spearheads the implementation of automation to improve test efficiency.
- Identifies and mitigates risks while leveraging opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinates with cross‑functional site leaders to ensure transparent and consistent communication, establishing and managing relationships with third‑party labs to optimize capabilities and value.
- Stays current with industry best practices and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing innovations to maintain the lab’s competitive edge.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Product Line Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5 years minimum engineering experience in a lab testing product development and manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3+ years of project leadership experience.

- No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility (active‑Duty military service members are exempt).
- 10 years engineering experience in a product development or testing environment.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience managing in a union environment.
