The Training & Onboarding Coordinator supports the organization by maintaining effective training programs and delivering a consistent, engaging onboarding experience for new employees. This position is responsible for coordinating training activities, maintaining training records, and assisting with various recruiting, onboarding, and HR processes. The Training & Onboarding Coordinator works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure training content is accurate, compliance requirements are met, and new hires receive the tools and resources needed for a successful start.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development
- Create, review, and update training records, certifications, materials, and program documentation
- Manage and administer online learning management systems (QT9 and Cornerstone)
- Deliver training sessions and lead structured learning activities using various instructional methods and formats
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure training content is accurate, up‑to‑date, and aligned with business needs
- Administer training surveys, track results, and support continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain detailed records of all training activities and documentation
- Evaluate training delivery methods to improve effectiveness, reduce costs, and support environmental sustainability goals
- Generate and analyze training metrics, including participation, completion rates, feedback, and training hours
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including materials, supplies, technology, and scheduling of virtual or in‑person spaces
- Assist with recruiting activities, including candidate scheduling, communication, and participation in interviews
- Attend hiring events as they arise throughout the year
- Support onboarding processes by preparing new hire materials, coordinating pre‑employment requirements, and ensuring systems access and documentation are completed
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding sessions
- Maintain communication with staffing partners and internal stakeholders regarding new hire status and employee transitions
- Provide general HR administrative support, including the maintenance of various spreadsheets used to capture, monitor, and analyze various types of information
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive employee, candidate, and company information
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or 1-3 years of experience in HR, training, recruitment, or other similar roles
- Recent college graduates with prior, relevant internship experience may be considered in lieu of full-time work experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of Human Resources principles and practices
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to organize information, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
