Operate assigned cut‑off lines to produce core wire used in the manufacture of manual electrodes while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.

• Operates mild steel, high‑carbon steel, and stainless‑steel draw benches and roll‑cut machines to draw down coiled steel rod, straighten wire, and cut it to specified lengths.
• Produces core wire meeting quality and production requirements.
• Inspects a sample of core wire from each tote box to verify conformance to physical and quality specifications.
• Fills tote boxes with cut wire and identifies each tote using the required color‑code tag that corresponds to the source rod.
• Accurately records operator code, line number, and Team Lead code in ink on each color‑code tag.
• Completes line changeovers in accordance with established procedures.
• Identifies, isolates, and follows procedures for wire that does not meet specification requirements.
• Reviews, understands, and complies with all applicable departmental procedures, work instructions, specifications, plant rules, and job hazard analyses related to the role.
• Operates equipment only when guards are in place and functioning properly and follows all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area and reports safety hazards, equipment concerns, or EHS questions to the supervision.
• Uses required personal protective equipment in accordance with Plant Rules and Regulations.
• Works collaboratively as part of the production team and supports efficient department operations.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed by supervision.

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or industrial equipment operation experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cut‑off lines, draw benches, roll‑cut machines, butt welders, wire pointers, and related department equipment (training provided).
