CNC Lathe Machinist
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our 1st shift team. The position involves setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components used in spindle repair and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CNC lathe setup, including making offsets, performing tool changes, holding tight tolerances, and troubleshooting machining processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes.
- Perform touch-offs, tool changes, and machine offsets.
- Hold tight tolerances and maintain part quality throughout production runs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Make G-code edits and program adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot dimensional or machining issues.
- Maintain safe and efficient production standards.
- Assist with operation of a Bridgeport manual mill when needed (limited use).
Essential Skills
- CNC lathe setup experience.
- Ability to perform touch-offs and tool offsets.
- Experience changing tooling and making machine adjustments.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances consistently.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers).
- Ability to work independently in a small-shop environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience running CNC lathes.
- G-code editing experience.
- CNC programming knowledge.
- Bridgeport/manual mill experience.
- Experience repairing or manufacturing spindle components.
- Experience with low-volume, high-precision machining.
- Tooling selection and process improvement experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Euclid, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
