- Pay Rate: $42.00 $ 47.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (flexible)

This position is accountable for developing work holding fixtures, CNC programs, and tool layouts in support of implementation of new equipment in a factory setting. The focus will be converting products from a manual operation to CNC automation utilizing Okuma horizontal mills machines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead in the ramp up of new CNC equipment by creating programs and work holding fixtures.
- Identify and order new tooling for the creation or improvement of programs as required. Design new jigs, tools, fixtures, and provide technical direction to production personnel.
- Supervise the validation of new program roll out and communicate the process effectively with engineers, quality, and production personnel.
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing engineers concerning machining and operational challenges.
- Highlight quality problems relative to the conversion of products to CNC based machining and provide technical direction to implement corrective actions and error proofing.
- Train CNC machine operators on new machining technologies as needed.
- Be pro-active in developing machine programs. Work collaboratively to obtain the best results for the company and maximize use of resources.
- Understand and abide by a high standard of professional ethics, to ensure the integrity of the department and the work performed.
- Mazak machine programming (required top skill)
- Mastercam (required top skill)
- Blueprint reading (required top skill)
- Experience using Solid Works, Mastercam, Auto Cad, and experienced in G-code.
- Must be results-oriented and be able to drive the necessary activities to get things accomplished.
- Must know how to organize people and activities.
- Must understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow.
- Must see and exploit opportunities for synergy and integration.
- Can simplify complex processes.
- Demonstrated experience in CNC programming for multi-axis Mazak milling machines using Mastercam.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software, with preference given to experience in CATIA V5.
- Experience programming Okuma horizontal machining centers.
- Tooling experience; fixturing experience (aid in updating older tooling/fixtures).
- GD&T and reading blueprints.
- CATIA.
- Union experience.
- 2-year technical degree or appropriate certificate from a college or trade school with focus on CNC machining (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience required with proven ability writing programs for CNC machining centers and developing work holding fixtures.
- 4 years of experience in supporting a manufacturing environment.
- 7 years of experience with proven ability writing programs for CNC machining centers and developing work holding fixtures.
- 5 years of experience in supporting a manufacturing environment.
