Consolidated Precision Products is seeking a Wax Department Lead to oversee wax operations for complex aerospace castings. In this hands-on role, you will supervise wax technicians, coordinate daily production, and ensure adherence to strict safety and quality standards. You will monitor throughput, scrap, and rework, drive root-cause problem solving, and partner with engineering and quality on process improvements and new product introductions.
The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced aerospace manufacturing technologies and develop specialized technical and leadership skills in a growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily wax department operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets
- Supervise and train wax technicians on patterns, assemblies, and process controls
- Monitor production metrics and drive root-cause problem solving for defects
- Collaborate with engineering and quality on process improvements and new product launches
- Ensure compliance with work instructions, specifications, and aerospace standards
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production plans
- Maintain 5
- S, ergonomics, and safe work practices in all wax areas
- Support audits, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen)
