Furnace Operator

Consolidated Precision Products is seeking a Furnace Operator to run high-temperature equipment used to process aerospace and industrial castings. The operator will load and unload parts, set and monitor furnace controls, record heat-treatment data, and verify parts meet specifications. This role enforces strict safety and quality standards, performs basic equipment checks, and communicates issues to maintenance and supervision. The position offers hands-on experience with advanced aerospace casting technologies and opportunities for skill growth in a technical, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial furnaces and related heat-treatment equipment per work instructions
• Load and unload castings and components using appropriate material handling tools
• Set, adjust, and monitor furnace temperatures, cycles, and controls
• Record process parameters and heat-treatment data accurately in logs or systems
• Inspect parts before and after processing to verify quality and adherence to specifications
• Follow all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures in the furnace area
• Perform basic preventive checks and report equipment issues to maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized furnace and staging area
• Coordinate with quality and production teams to meet schedule and quality targets
• Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance processes
