Machine Operator - $24/hr
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating lathes, both manually and in an automated manner, including integrated robot operations. You will perform quality checks, change tools, clear jams safely, and ensure parts meet specifications. Additionally, you will assemble parts, maintain equipment, and transport parts within the department.
Responsibilities
- Set up lathes according to MWF Part and Process sheets.
- Operate lathe cell in an automated manner, including the integrated robot.
- Change or replace tools as needed.
- Clear robot jams and faults safely.
- Perform periodic quality checks and report any discrepancies.
- Load or unload conveyors as required and check parts for visual defects.
- Mark required symbols or designations on parts.
- Perform spline checks using gages and place non-conforming or scrap pieces on designated pallets.
- Assemble parts per Work Instructions and operate polisher, washer, and presses.
- Maintain equipment by topping off water, coolant, changing filters, and lubricating unit.
- Keep track of part count and transport parts using cranes, pallet jacks, or other means.
- Fill out proper tags in accordance with instructions.
- Report visual defects to the foreman and maintain part number and heat code integrity.
- Support scrap and non-conforming product procedures.
- Complete paperwork for duties performed on each shift, such as time tickets and scrap sheets.
- Maintain coverage through lunches, breaks, and shift changes.

Work Environment
This is a heavy industrial forging environment that is not temperature controlled. Candidates must be open to working any shift, with shifts running as follows: 1st shift from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. Overtime applies after 8 hours of work. Off-shift employees receive additional pay.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Euclid, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.52 - $27.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
