Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong ortho and total joint procedure expertise.
Responsibilities- Hospital setting in an Operating Room department
- Day shifts, 5x8 hour schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Primary focus on orthopedic surgeries, including total joint procedures
- Electronic Medical Record used is Epic; recent experience within the past 6 months is required
- Required to work at least every other holiday
- Assessments are required during orientation, with up to two attempts allowed before contract is canceled
- Travelers must complete BCI/FBI fingerprints within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Annual modules and initial modules must be completed as required by the facility
- Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
- Travelers may not return to the facility for one year from their previous end date
- Assignments may not exceed 18 consecutive months without a mutually agreed extension
- All travelers must have a negative 10-panel drug and nicotine screen within 12 months of start
- Nurses are currently exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Operating Room RN experience prior to travel
- Strong orthopedic OR experience with total joint procedures required
- Current AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Epic charting experience within the last 6 months required
- Must provide one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessments must be passed during orientation
